Disability and Technology

D&T Advisory Board

In the first stakeholders’ meeting, organised by the Disability & Technology research group and held on the 2nd of July 2015, the participants from local, national and international organizations as well as the academia decided on a number of strategies to boost the cooperation of researchers and practicioners. One among them was the formation of a Disability & Technology Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is intended to be a formal and inclusive body of actors from the field of disability and technology in Uganda and essentially, it shall be a forum of exchange. With the establishment of this Advisory Board, the gap between academic and non-academic stakeholders, and research and practice, shall be reduced. Systematic and regular interaction between these two stakeholder groups is envisaged to yield mutual benefits.
